SITG 2017: Festival Fashion Tips
While festival fashion tends to take on many different styles and interpretations - the more the merrier! - there are some ideas we can't help but love...
Take a Cue from Your Favourite Artists
With so many stellar bands and artists set to hit the stage at this year's festival, from headliners like The XX and Schoolboy Q to local Aussie favourites Tash Sultana and Dune Rats, there's sure to be plenty of psychedelic rock hits, soulful goodness and everything in between playing through the North Byron Parklands.
On that note, why not take some style cues from your favourites, whether it be a kaleidoscopic colour scheme inspired by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, silver accessories inspired by LCD Soundsystem's classic disco ball, or Haim's complementary colour scheme.

Vary Your Fabrics
We're all for wearing as many (or little) fabrics as you please, but when it comes to accessorising, there's always something fun about mixing up your materials! Whether its leather (we're biased, we know), suede, printed cloth, denim, colourful velour, satins and tons more, less is never more when it comes to festival fashion.

Style with Colour
Want to add a little something extra to your festival aesthetic? Why not add some colour to your luscious locks! Whether permanent or temporary, there are plenty of fun options for fun hair styles these days. If you're on the Gold Coast, be sure to go see our friends at Ultra Suite Hair Bar in Palm Beach for a newly vibrant 'do.
Layer Your Look
Sure, Australia may not be known for its intense winter temperatures, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can get away with wearing bikinis 24/7, even though it may be enticing. Bring plenty of layers to ensure you're comfortable no matter what the weather brings, and rest easy knowing you won't have to huddle the crowd for warmth or shed down to your skivvies if it gets too warm.
