If, like many of us, you've arrived at that time in your life when all of your closest friends and family members seem to be having babies, you're not alone! And while it's breathtaking to see the transformations that take place, both physically and otherwise, it's also sometimes tedious to host (and attend) the same type of baby shower again and again.

In celebration of our gorgeous friend Jess' pregnancy, we decided to host a special bohemian baby shower on the Gold Coast, all with the help of the oh so lovely and talented Jody Kearney of See Life Interiors

Bohemian Baby Shower Tips

Whether it's your first or fifteenth baby shower, there's always a new way to make it unique!

Location

First off, you need the right location to set the mood. With the mom-to-be in mind, Jess Crawford of @theseathefamilyandme, we chose Laguna Park in Palm Beach, located conveniently in a beautiful spot on Australia's Gold Coast.

Materials

Next up, it's time to gather your materials! We recommend the following:

  • Homemade pallet wood tables
  • Vintage lace tablecloths and throws
  • Cute jars and bottles for flowers
  • Flowers - we used eucalyptus leaves, baby's breath and local natives
  • Moroccan poofs and cushions
  • Large outdoor turquoise mats
  • Moroccan vases and candles

Jody went above and beyond with the styling of this bohemian baby shower. We highly recommend viewing more of her work at @seelifeinteriors if you're in Australia!

Food & Entertainment

Lastly, we highly recommend offering some small plates of food, desserts and goodies, and having a few games or fun activities planned out. Don't be afraid to ask friends for help, and remember - simple goes a long way!

Big thanks to Emma and Alex of Mahiya for coordinating, and everyone else for attending and helping throw the most stunning baby shower ever.
